The apex of his career with the Edmonton Oilers, Wayne Gretzky would register an unfathomable 196 points including 71 goals during the 1982-83 NHL season, with the Hart Memorial, Art Ross and Lester B. Pearson trophies all earned. We have a historic puck, with this specimen used by The Great One to plot his 4th goal during a 6-3 routing of the Winnipeg Jets, in Game 1 of the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, on April 6, 1983. Played at Northlands Coliseum, the unassisted short-handed goal occurred at 12:48 of the second, with this Wayne’s third goal of the period, putting Edmonton up 6-1. Tape has been wrapped around the puck, with a bit of the Oilers logo visible, with the particulars handwritten including “4th Goal” “Gretzky” and “Ed 6 – Wpg 1”. An LOA from the Oilers signed by Kevin Lowe will accompany.
