All-Star forward Gary Roberts’ awesome 1999-2000 Hurricanes game-worn alternate captain’s jersey features three patches. The Steve Chiasson No. “3” patch is sewn on the left shoulder, while the right breast displays the Raleigh Arena Inaugural Season patch above the NHL 2000 patch wore league-wide that season. The “A” is sewn on the left breast and Roberts’ No. “10” is written in black marker on the CCM fly tag in the collar, which has a size 58 fly tag beside it. Snap-style fight strap sits inside the back and “Official Carolina Hurricanes 3rd Set 1999-00 Season” Custom Crafted team stamp is screened inside the rear hem. Game use shows in various black marks, and stains near the sleeve cuffs.
Game wear includes black marks on the sleeves, including through the No. 10 on the right sleeve, small marks on the team crest, the top of the “0” on the back, the right front tail, right shoulder, the left lower back and the right side of the front collar, a board burn on the seam between the back of the right sleeve and the upper right of the back, and stains on the white bands on the sleeves.
There are stains on some areas of the white twill surname letters on the nameplate and No. 10 on the back.
