Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Possibly worn originally by Brian Benning with the Canadian National team in 1985-86, we have a wonderful Team Canada jersey hailing from the mid-1980s. A CCM “Canada Cup” label with “85 01” born-on date tag sit affixed to the collar, with an embroidered CCM crest over the back bottom hem. Styled with a textured red and white maple leaf team crest, the V-neck sweater has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching crests over each shoulder. Marks are present over the front and sleeves including a large stick mark beneath the team crest, with small holes over each lower sleeve, there is also a large team repair near the left elbow, with a small slit to the left of the team crest. We should also note evidence of a former nameplate, with “Paulin” currently in place, as the jersey was most likely recycled for him.
