Ding! Ding! Ding! Muhammad Ali became the heavyweight boxing champion of the world for the first time in Miami Beach on February 25, 1964 when reigning champ Sonny Liston was unable to answer the bell to begin the seventh round. A fitting way to remember he self-proclaimed Greatest of All Time, this authentic and fully-functioning ring bell is signed by the one and only Ali, who was the only boxer ever to claim the heavyweight title three times during his astonishing career. Ali signed in bold gold paint pen across the top of the bell, which rests on a 12” x 14 1/2" wood base. A small scratch very minimally affects the signature, otherwise it's as strong as the date of its application.
The bell measures 12” in diameter and has a black leather strap attached to its ringing mechanism
