Dave Andreychuk’s 2003-04 Lightning game-worn pre-season and regular season captain’s jersey is from Tampa Bay’s Stanley Cup season! Andreychuk, who was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2017, scored 640 goals and had 1,338 points in 1,639 games over the course of his 23 NHL seasons, the peak of which came when he hoisted the Cup as the Lightning’s captain. The LOA that accompanies this gamer states that it was worn by Andreychuk during the 2003-04 pre-season, and that Tampa Bay “also wore this set in four regular season games through October 25, 2003.” Game wear features board burns on the sleeves, including an unrepaired burn hole and blue paint transfer on the right sleeve.
More game wear shows in a mark on the bottom of the “2” on the back, a black mark on the left shoulder yoke, and black marks on the white bands on the front and rear tails and near the sleeve cuffs. The size 56 flag tag in the back of the neck is sewn over by nameplate stitching.
Cutting Edge Sports “Lightning Pre Season 2003-04” team patch is sewn inside the right rear tail. The MeiGray NHL Game Worn Jersey 2003-2004 Season patch sewn inside the left rear tail displays registry number B 07870. According to the MeiGray population report, this jersey is a "Black Preseason / Regular Season w/C".
