Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Taking place on March 2, 2014 at BC Place in front of over 50,000 fans, the 2014 Heritage Classic pitted the Ottawa Senators against the Vancouver Canucks, with the former doubling-up over the latter, 4-2. We have a Senators jersey that was issued for the second period of the contest for Matt Kassian. A size “58+” tag sits affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the classic “O” Sens team crest that saw use with the original club, tri-colour felt sleeve and verso numbers have been utilized, with matching shield crests over each shoulder: one French language, the other English. The Heritage Classic crest is also present, situated just above the right breast. We should note that there is a second fight strap that was added to the front of the jersey, directly beneath the team crest. A few non game wear faint random marks are present on the jersey. The team patch resides over the inside hem opposite a MeiGray crest numbered “K09534”, with a COA in an attractive black Senators folder to accompany.
Addendum; jersey is a game-issued jersey and was prepared for Kassian for the 2nd period but wasn't worn by him.
