Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2006-07 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
Currently playing the KHL with Spartak Moscow, Ben Maxwell previously spent parts of four seasons in the NHL. We have a pair of 2010-11 Habs sweaters, with a preseason game-worn away jersey, along with a home example that was issued to the North Vancouver native for the regular season. Each jersey features size “56” tagging along the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the most famous and recognizable team crest in hockey, both V-neck sweaters have been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Maxwell” across the nameplate of each in single twill. Game-issued and never worn, the home example remains in gorgeous condition, while the worn away jersey exhibits just a few tiny marks. Team patches numbered “A02400” (Home) and “A02342” (Away) sit on the inside hems, while holograms affixed to the reverse numbers of each (GU11361-home GU11448-away) match the accompanying LOAs from the Canadiens.
