Involved in the 1991 trade that saw Mark Messier go to the New York Rangers, Bernie Nicholls saw action throughout his lengthy 17 season career with a number of NHL clubs including the Rangers, Oilers, Devils, Black Hawks, Sharks and LA Kings, with 1209 points scored over 1127 regular season games. We have the puck the Haliburton native used to secure his first NHL goal on March 9th 1982 against the Colorado Rockies. Produced by Viceroy, the puck feature’s a full colour Colorado Rockies logo on one side, along with a heavily worn NHL shield emblem on the reverse. With just light wear to the Rockies logo along with the worn NHL emblem on the reverse, the puck remains in excellent condition, with no chips, gouges or grooves. A signed LOA from Bernie Nicholls will accompany.
Nicholls was recalled to the Kings on February 20, 1982 against the Calgary Flames to finish the season, where he had 32 points in 22 games, and was a contributor in the playoffs as the Kings upset the Edmonton Oilers to reach the second round.
