This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Hours of enjoyable reading are awaiting the intelligent bidder that secures this lot, with four signed hockey books offered, along with an advance reading copy of Bruce McDougall’s 2014 work, The Last Hockey Game. Included, we have a pair of highly desirable copies of Ken Dryden’s The Game, with each example signed by the legendary netminder, along with a copy of Gordie Howe Number 9 wonderfully autographed by the deceased icon. Rounding out the lot, we have a copy of The Bird signed by author Wren Blair. Both copies of The Game have been signed by Dryden on the first page in black ink, with one example including a personalization with “Best Wishes”. The Howe book has been signed by the legend on the title page in ballpoint, with Mr Hockey adding a personalization with “Best Regards”. The Bird has been signed on the first page in black ink, and the signature is somewhat weak. Both copies of The Game include their dust jackets, with each exhibiting light to moderate wear, while the books themselves remain in very good condition. Number 9 also sports its original dust jacket that exhibits wear some edge tears, toning and light creasing, with the book in excellent condition. The Bird shows wear to both covers, while the advance reading copy of The Last Hockey Game remains in wonderful condition with some light wear to the cover and pages.
