Fittingly the last world champions of the 20th century, the New York Yankees were hands-down the greatest MLB team throughout the 1900s, with an impressive 25 Fall Classic victories accrued along with 36 post-season appearances, both records that will never be broken. We have a New York Yankees 1999 World Series Championship limited-edition replica ring that celebrates that achievement. Size 9 ½-10 with an approx. weight of 30 grams, the vermeil ring (vermeil refers to items made of silver that are plated with a thin layer of gold) feature’s the Yankees “NY” monogram centered over the tableau with inserted zirconias, set on tiered levels bordered by additional zirconias with “19” on the left, and “99” on the right. The left shank pictures the World Series Trophy along with the NY skyline with “Jeter” above and “Tradition” below, while the right has a Yankees logo with the façade of Yankee Stadium, with “The Century’s Team” above, and “25th World Championship” below. With the inner band free of any stampings/markings, the ring shows heavy wear with numerous scratches and small grooves/nicks, with the surface heavily worn in spots, especially along edges. The ring would also benefit from a proper cleaning. We should also note that according to our consignor, roughly 20-25 of these rings were originally produced.
