Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Arguably one of the nicest designed team crests in hockey throughout the late-1990s to early-2000s, we have a collection of four Buffalo Sabres game-worn jerseys, with a pair of home examples along with a pair for away games. First, we have a matched set of both home and away examples from the 1996-97 season worn by Michal Grosek and Jay McKee (rookie season), along with a second set of both 2000-01 home and away examples worn by Jay McKee and Dmitri Kalinin. Each jersey sports a size tag affixed to the collar (Grosek & Kalinin-58/1996-97 McKee-56/2000-01 McKee-58), with an embroidered NHL crest over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with gorgeous textured buffalo-head team crests, the V-neck sweaters all include tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with alternate crests over each shoulder. Each jersey also exhibits nice use with marks and wear present, with the 1996-97 examples sporting the Seymour H Knox III patch over the right breast. The 2000-01 sweaters also have team patches affixed to the inside hems.
