Enforcer Georges Laraque wore No. 27 with the Edmonton Oilers, following in the footsteps of Dave Semenko as the team’s policeman. This great pair of Laraque’s Oilers game-worn jerseys features his 2000-01 Set #3 home white playoffs gamer, which has a couple of reddish-brown stains on the right shoulder, possibly dried blood. More solid game wear shows in black marks on the tails and both sleeves, which also have board burns. George’s 2005-06 dark blue third jersey Set #2 gamer is from the most recent season the Oilers went to the Stanley Cup Final, against Carolina, falling just one win short of claiming Lord Stanley’s silver chalice.
Laraque’s 2000-01 Oilers game-worn jersey has Elite Sportswear, CCM and size 58 flag tags in the back of the neck and an “Edmonton Oilers Set #3 / Playoffs 2000 / 2001 Elite Sportswear” team patch sewn inside the rear tail.
Laraque’s 2005-06 Oilers game-worn third jersey Elite Sportswear, “Made in Canada” and size 58 flag tags in the back of the neck. An “Edmonton Oilers Set #2 / 2005 / 2006 Elite Sportswear” team patch is sewn inside the rear tail between the square “2005-2006 Season” patch and the MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2004-2005 Season patch from the season cancelled by a lockout with registry number C03818. Game wear includes a few light marks and light board burns and unrepaired burn holes on the sleeves, with a bit of blue paint transfer on the left sleeve, and a few light black marks on the white twill of the “2” on the back.
