Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Currently serving as a European development coach for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Jarkko Ruutu spent parts of 11 seasons in the NHL, appearing for Vancouver, Ottawa and others. This Senators jersey was worn by the Finn at the Oct 4th 2008 “NHL Premiere Stockholm" match vs Pittsburgh in Sweden, the very first regular-season game ever played in Europe for the Sens. Size “58” tagging sits affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with a partially-textured Sens team crest, the solid red V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder along with the “Premiere Stockholm” crest just above the right breast. With just a few marks over the front and left sleeve, the garment remains in gorgeous condition. A MeiGray patch numbered “F07071” sits over the inside hem, with a matching LOA to accompany.
