Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Hailing from long-time NHL scout and executive Ron “Prof” Caron, we have items from his personal collection. Included, we have books that have been signed and personalized to Ron from both Eric Lindros and Ken Dryden, a pair of watches, with an example made by Waltham along with a watch produced by Raymond Weil with “NHL International NHLPA” beneath the dial, one of Caron’s St Louis Blues picture-ID cards signed on the reverse, a pair of initialed buttons, a 1988 NHL All-Star Game pinback, a 20th anniversary St Louis Blues mounted puck, a 12” x 15” framed 1992-93 NHL pin display, 2 Blues “Ron Caron” notepad sheets and three small portfolios, with a 1996-97 NHL Player Roster Salary Report along with NHL Expense and Benefit Surveys from 1987-88 and 1996-97. Each signed book remains in wonderful condition, with the Lindros autograph in marker, with some “ghosting” of the signature on the inside cover and proceeding page, while the Dryden notation is quite lengthy and in ballpoint, signed just “Ken” and dated “Jan 23 1984”. The Dryden “The Game” book includes the dust jacket, while the Lindros “Fire On Ice” book exhibits a crease to the back cover. Both watches remain in very good condition, but appear to be not working, while just light wear is present to the framed pin display. An LOA from the Caron family will accompany.
