Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
A member of the big bad Boston Bruins Stanley Cup championship squad of 1970, defenceman Gary Doak spent 13 seasons in Beantown, later serving as an assistant coach with the club, from 1981–82 to 1984-85. We have a Bruins jersey worn by the Goderich native in 1974-75, where he appeared in 43 games including 3 playoff matches. A Wilson label with handwritten “50” sizing remains affixed to the collar, with no fight strap present in the vintage durene. Styled with the famous spoked-B team crest fully administered in tackle twill, the solid black V-neck has been accented with gold tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers with black trim, with no nameplate over the upper reverse. With just some pilling to the interior and a few marks over the team crest, the jersey survives in gorgeous condition, with bold and brilliant colours.
