Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018

A power forward before the term was coined, Wilf Paiement scored goals and racked up penalty minutes wherever he played. Paiement’s early-1980s Quebec Nordiques game-worn jersey with a dual ribbon-style fight strap is likely from his 39-goal season in 1983-84, third on the Nords behind HOFers Peter Stastny and Michel Goulet. Wilf scored 102 goals and had 619 PIMs in 280 games with Quebec from 1982-86. His blue road gamer with a sewn-on Nords crest has Maska and washing instructions tagging in the collar and a large embroidered Maska logo on the right rear hem. Game wear includes a slash mark on the front tail, a reddish-brown stain on the front hem, and board burns on the sleeves and right shoulder.
More wear includes black marks on the front tail, on the front hem and the rear hem at the left hip, an orange paint transfer mark on the right front hem, and red paint transfer on the rear hem.
There is some loss to the white vinyl of the applied numbers and fleur-de-lys that is often observed on these Nordiques game-worn jerseys.
