Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

A repeat of the 1930 Fall Classic, Philadelphia would again win over 100 games during the season, along with their rival Cardinals, with game 1 of the 1931 World Series occurring on Oct 1st in front of just under 40,000 at Sportsman’s Park. All 7 games would be needed, and despite Philly notching 3 more runs throughout the Series, the Cards would take revenge for the past season, winning their 2nd Fall Classic in franchise history. We have an unscored program for the Series, originating from Shibe Park. At roughly 8 ½” x 11”, the fairly thick publication features team logos on the cover along with an official Reach American League ball. The cover is separated along just the bottom section, with some scuffs, marks and light staining present. The pages all remain firmly intact including the center line-up, with the interior remaining clean. Despite the obvious flaws, the program displays well.
