Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Unable to function without their presence, we’re featuring the men who work the games. Presented, we have an especially attractive vintage linesman’s jersey that saw NHL action in the 1970s. Featuring the familiar black and white vertical stripes, labeling from MSG supplier Gerry Cosby sits affixed to the collar. Styled with a rarely seen fully embroidered NHL shield crest over the left breast, the high-collared zip-up also sports “35” on verso executed in tackle twill. Seeing an unspecified amount of use, the linesman’s sweater exhibits a few small holes over each upper sleeve, with a few larger examples on verso near the numbers, which they themselves show puckering. Not offered regularly, vintage linesman’s jerseys make stunning display pieces.
