Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
First worn by Barry Gibbs as an assistant captain, Dwight Bialowas later donned this Minnesota North Stars jersey as Gibbs was traded for Bialowas during the 1974-75 season, with the “A” removed at this time. Bialowas then wore the jersey for an NBC “game of the week” game. The Minnesota North Stars played an NBC game of the week for their last game of the season vs Chicago on April 6, with this explaining why the jersey still has the name on back, as it was not recycled into the next season. A durene number with vibrant colours, a Rawlings label sits on the back inside hem, with the collar currently void of its former Steichens tag. Featuring a dual-layer tackle twill team crest, the desirable vintage garment has been accented with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers in matching material, with an intact “loop-style” fight strap.
A few marks are present including on the lower front, with some light paint transfer over the right sleeve. There is also some pilling near the left cuff, with a small team repair present on the lower front.
