One of the more challenging styles to locate due to the club’s short 6-season existence, the Colorado Rockies appeared in less than 500 total NHL games, with the KC Scouts moving to Denver for the 1976-77 season until relocating once more to their present location in New Jersey. This desirable Rockies jersey, currently sporting a “Watson” nameplate that was added at some point - was worn by both Kevin Morrison and Nick Beverley, with each donning the number “2” during the 1979-80 NHL season, and it’s been photo-matched to both! With the correct Rawlings size tagging sitting on the collar along with an intact but rusty garter-style fight strap, the mesh V-neck jersey features attractive durene sleeve and lower front bands with screened-on logos and thick rubberized numbers.
Regarding condition, dark marks are present along the front including on the lower striping band as well as the team crest, with some faint board burns over the right sleeve. There is also some paint transfer over each lower sleeve, with discolouration taking place along the neck and shoulders. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches, for the Beverley match, an included numeric image has been matched to the black mark on the middle left side of the team crest that crosses the crest’s left edge. For the Morrison match, a second included numeric image has been matched to the 2 black marks on the middle left of the team crest.
