Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Hailing from one of his most productive seasons and first of eight with Vancouver, we have a Canucks jersey worn by Greg Adams in 1987-88. A sewn down Maska Ultrafil label is attached to the collar, with an embroidered CCM patch on the back bottom hem. Styled with an almost completely embroidered team crest, the black V-neck has been embellished with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Adams” across the nameplate in matching material. Numerous marks are present along with board burns, there are also 14 team repairs. The left and right sleeves each feature 6 repairs, with 3 more on the front and a single example over the reverse. Adams would finish the 1987-88 campaign with an impressive 76 points in 80 games.
A numeric image will be included which seems to show the small piece of black thread on the jersey’s left shoulder in the orange stripe, and there is also a bit of a sewing irregularity close to the collar, but the image is not high resolution enough to call it a definitive photo-match.
