Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
A first-round draft pick of the New Jersey Devils in 1999, Ari Ahonen is the only goaltender in SM-liiga history to have represented all three teams in the greater Helsinki area, including HIFK, Jokerit and Blues. This Devils jersey was issued to the Finnish native in 2005-06. A “Goalie Style”, along with “58” size tag remains affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the bottom hem and back neckline respectively. Featuring the Devil’s attractive long-standing team crest, the jersey has been accented with dual-layer twill numbers and name-on-nameplate. The “JM” patch to honour former owner John McMullen has been placed over the right breast. With no game-wear on the “Red Set 2” garment, it remains in gorgeous condition. A MeiGray patch numbered C06130 has been placed on the inside hem, and a copy of the matching LOA will accompany.
