Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Featuring the men that tend the nets, we have a nice little group of four game-used goal sticks, wielded by Mario Gosselin, Jacques Cloutier, Dan Bouchard and Clint Malarchuk. We have Victoriaville, KOHO and Louisville examples, with each respective player having their name stamped onto the shaft, and each stick retains its original tape on both the blades and knobs. All four sticks exhibit great use, with heavy wear to the blades including numerous puck marks along with marks and abrasions to the shafts. We should also note that the Malarchuk stick has a cracked blade that has been taped, while the Gosselin model has extensive chipping to the paddle. Cloutier has added a signature on the lower section of paddle and it displays well, while Malarchuk has signed near the top of his paddle in black marker adding “To Todd Happy Trails”. The Gosselin stick originates from circa 1987 while with the Nordiques, while the Bouchard example hails from roughly 1985-86 with the Jets. The Malarchuk stick was used while with the Sabres in the 1990s. An LOA will accompany the Cloutier stick.
