Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Featuring the men that tend the nets, we have a nice little group of four game-used goal sticks, wielded by Ed Belfour, Jeff Hackett, Mike Liut and Mark Fitzpatrick. We have Cooper, Louisville, Sher-Wood and Christian examples, with each respective player (except Hackett) having their name stamped onto the shaft, and each stick retains its original tape on both the blades and knobs. The Belfour and Fitzpatrick sticks also have additional tape on the handles, just above the paddles. Heavy use is exhibited on all four sticks, with heavy wear to the blade of each, along with marks and abrasions to the paddle sections. We should also note that the Belfour stick has half of the blade broken off, while the Fitzpatrick example has heavy chipping to the paddle along with cracking to the underside of the blade. The Belfour and Hackett sticks originate from the pair’s time with Chicago, while the Liut stick was used during his time in Washington. The Fitzpatrick stick was utilized with the Kings. An LOA will accompany the Hackett stick.
