Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

William M. Jennings Trophy winner Robert Esche wore this Philadelphia Flyers gamer during the 2002-03 season when he shared the NHL’s trophy for the lowest team goals-against-average with teammate Roman Cechmanek and New Jersey’s Martin Brodeur. Goalie Style and size 58 flag tags sit in the back of the neck. The stitching on the MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2002-2003 Season registry patch has either let go or was poorly stitched on originally and its left side and middle hangs loose while remaining stitched on the right side. The tag’s registry number matches the one on the accompanying MeiGray LOA which states that Esche’s gamer is from the Flyers’ second season set of black jerseys. Best of game wear is red goalpost paint transfer on the back of the right sleeve.
