Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
An important component in the historic chain of legendary Beantown defenders that includes Eddie Shore and Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque would play 21 seasons in Massachusetts before winning a Stanley Cup in his final campaign with Colorado. This stick was used by the HOFer in the early-1990s. A Sher-Wood PMP 7030 model, “Bourque 77” factory graphics appear on the upper shaft, with the stick retaining its original tape on the shaved handle. The tape has been removed from the blade so that Ray could add a large and flowing signature along with a personalization. The stick exhibits light to moderate use, with some wear to the blade and lower shaft. Any and all game-used sticks from upper echelon HOFers are, and always will be in high demand.
