Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Bill Barber scored one of his most important goals for Team Canada in 1976. Behind in the final against the Czechs, Barber scored to send the game into overtime, and an eventual Team Canada victory. AK tagging remains affixed to the collar, with all identifiers on the white sweater rubberized, including the half-maple leaf team crest and numbers and letters. Game wear includes a number or random marks present, along with some light staining to the right of the team crest. There is also a small slit on the lower reverse. The jerseys from the white set were given to Czech players in the famous center-ice exchange at the end of the last game and this particular jersey was discovered by a collector who traveled to the Czech Republic hunting for international hockey memorabilia. An LOA from Classic will accompany.
