Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
An unforgiving discipline of hockey collecting, acquiring autographs of each and every member of the Hockey Hall of Fame is no easy task, with scant few examples extant for a number of inducted members. We have a scarce specimen present, with a document signed by HOF builder Fred J. Hume. An early proponent of professional hockey on the West Coast, Hume served periods as both New Westminster and Vancouver mayor, he was also the owner of the WHL’s Vancouver Canucks. Presented, we have document signed by the HOF builder. A five-page document serving as a memorandum to a previously drafted agreement, Hume along with listed shareholders have all signed on the last page, with the Hume signature executed in flawless green ink. Hailing from 1950, the foolscap-length document exhibits fold lines and toning, with each page stapled together. Wear is present to each page including creasing, staple holes and edge wear, with no issues to the Hume signature whatsoever.
