Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Well remembered for his sniping capabilities, Joe Sakic was named the most valuable player of the 1996 playoffs, with NHL MVP honours in 2001 according to hockey writers and fellow players. We have a stick wielded by the HOFer in the mid-2000s, and it’s been signed. An Easton Stealth model in red and black with grey accents, “19 Sakic” factory graphics appear on the upper shaft, with the stick retaining its original tape on the handle and knob. The blade tape has been removed so that Sakic could add a gorgeous and flowing silver paint pen signature, and it remains flawless. With just light use exhibited which includes a few abrasions to the lower shaft, the stick survives in beautiful condition.
