Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
The only defenceman in NHL history with an amazing nine hat tricks to his credit, Bobby Orr was also named to the NHL First All-Star Team eight consecutive times, from 1968-1975. Featuring his last All-Star appearance, we have a “1975” Wales Conference jersey signed by the legend. Tagging is affixed to the collar from MSG supplier Gerry Cosby, with the mesh V-neck featuring an embroidered NHL shield crest with matching inserted crests above, along with affixed stars along the lower striping band. “Orr” appears across the upper reverse along with his iconic “4” in tackle twill. Bobby has signed within his “4” on verso, and the signature displays beautifully. With no issues to note, the jersey is ready for prominent display.
We should note that while vintage, the jersey most likely dates from a more recent time frame (1980s), and not 1975.
