Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
The tallest goaltender to ever grace an NHL net, Ben Bishop is a product of the University of Maine, spending 3 seasons with the Black Bears before moving on to St. Louis, Ottawa and currently, Tampa Bay. This Senators jersey was worn by the Denver native in 2012-13, and it’s been photo-matched. “Goalie Style” size tagging along with a Reebok name band sit along the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring an attractive partially embroidered Senators team crest, the “Red Set 2” garment has been accented with double-twill numbers along with matching alternate patches over each shoulder. The team patch sits beneath the fight strap, with a matching LOA from the Senators to accompany.
Game-wear consists of a few marks over each sleeve, along with some faint paint transfer over each elbow. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, Getty Image #166807469 from March 25th 2013 has been matched to a number of black marks on the lower right sleeve (white section of the sleeve).
