Facing off for gold against perennial nemesis Russia at the 2008 World Championships, the tournament also witnessed the IIHF present medals to 19 members of the Triple Gold Club. This retro Team Canada “1976 Canada Cup” alternate captain’s jersey was worn in the tournament by Martin St. Louis. Nike sizing along with an IIHF label sit affixed to the collar, with the IIHF 100th anniversary patch over the bottom hem along with a “1976” crest. Styled with the iconic half maple leaf team crest that first made its appearance at the 1976 Canada Cup, the solid white V-neck has been embellished with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching Zepter sponsorship patches over each shoulder. An LOA from Hockey Canada will accompany.
With just light wear present including a few faint marks along with a very small hole between the team crest and “Canada”, the jersey remains in stunning condition.
