Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
A two-time Second Team All-Star in the Q, Jose Theodore was drafted 44th overall by Montreal in 1994, spending eight season’s in Quebec which would include both Vezina and Hart Trophy wins in 2002. We have a Canadiens jersey worn by the Laval native in 2000-01, and it’s been signed. CCM “Goalie Style” labeling is affixed to the collar with a size 58 fly tag, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests on the back neckline and bottom hem respectively. Fashioned with the most famous team crest in hockey partially embroidered over the chest, the white V-neck has been embellished with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Theodore” across the nameplate. Jose has signed just below the collar in blue felt tip pen, and the signature displays extremely well. Comes with a team LOA.
Game-wear includes a number of small marks on the front and over the right sleeve, with the intact fight strap showing evidence of washing. We should also note that the garment has small holes in various areas as it was framed previously, with some mounting residue on the inside shoulders as well.
