Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
From the historic 100th season of the Montreal Canadiens, we have a jersey that was worn by superstar netminder Carey Price in 2008-09, and it’s been photo-matched! CCM size tagging sits along the collar with handwritten “2”, with NHL and Reebok crests on the bottom hem and back neckline respectively. Featuring the partially embroidered and sacred CH team crest, the “Home Set 2” jersey has been accented with attractive dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the Canadiens centennial patch over the right shoulder. There is also a “Match des Etoiles” All-Star Game patch on the left shoulder. The team patch numbered A01640 has been placed on the inside hem, and a hologram from the Canadiens organization has been affixed to Carey’s number “1” on verso, with a matching LOA to accompany.
Game-wear includes a few marks on the team crest along with an example directly above. There are also a few additional random marks including over the “3” on verso. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-matches, Getty Image #84571610 from Jan 31st 2009 has been matched to the diagonal black mark on the left leg of the “H” on the team crest, while Getty Image #84615756 from Feb 3rd 2009 has been matched to the diagonal black mark on the left leg of the “H” on the team crest, and to the small black mark on the top of the second leg of the “H” on the team crest. Lastly, Getty Image #84722527 from Feb 7th 2009 has been matched to most of the black marks showing on the team crest.
