Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

Shy of “biggies” Richard, Howe and Horton RC is this group of 1952-53 Parkies, with the vast majority exhibiting signs of having once been stored in an original Parkhurst album. We spot a lighter crease or two in most, with a dozen or so apparent crease-free cards affected by light indentations at the corners. Among the keys, light corner creases and a dinged lower left corner render the Sawchuk G, similar to Geoffrion (side-to-side crease), with Armstrong RC better at VG and Lindsay without corner indentations and VG+, although off-centered. Harvey is P (creases, tape stain on the reverse), while a Dickie Moore rookie card (a dime-size spot of paper loss affects the back) is graded Good 2 by Beckett. A few cards appear short or narrow, suggesting trimming, but all-in-all, a decent-looking lower grade group, perfect for those not requiring high grade examples.
