Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Sparkling memento recalls the Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup victory in 1952-53. Produced in similar fashion to the career tribute rings which former Habs greats received long after their careers were over, the dazzling ring features a raised miniature gold Cup on the white gold tableau into which 22 diamonds are set. Montreal is above and Canadiens below, while four diamonds are at each side. An image of the original Forum is on one shank with 1952-53 engraved on a banner above. Coupe Stanley Cup Champions is above the banner. The opposite shank features a nice Canadiens logo with E. Lach and his number 16 also included. Recently produced in 10-karat gold by Jostens with a weight of 21 grams, with all the proper markings on the interior of the band, the size 10 masterpiece is in beautiful condition, with just some light wear to the inside and outside of the band. Marked "Replica" inside to indicate the ring was produced later as the players did not receive rings back in 1952-53. The original Jostens box is included, with an LOA from Classic Auctions to accompany.
