Some beauty star cards graded 6, 7 and 8 by PSA highlight this 1960-61 Parkhurst assembly, with card #58, picturing the Canadiens' supporting cast line of Provost, Goyette and Pronovost, the condition leader at NM-MT+ 8.5. Toronto stars 4-Olmstead and 17-Armstrong received NM-MT 8 recognition, while also looking fine and labelled NM 7 is a group of seven cards; 9-Kelly, 19-Pulford, 31-Sawchuk, 37-McKenzie RC, 49-Beliveau, 53-Plante and 59-Geoffrion/Beliveau/Marshall line. The key Gordie Howe card is slabbed EX-MT 6, the same as 5-Edmundson, while slightly better at EX-MT+ 6.5 is the last card; 61-Morrison. Also encapsulated by PSA are 22-Oliver RC (EX+ 5.5) and 13-Regan (EX 5). The (raw) rest feature some (30) which have varying degrees of stains on the back from having been un-glued. Barely detectable on Rocket Richard's otherwise EX card, with several others similarly crease-free and further details on our website.
There are 13 cards, mostly commons, without any visible staining on the reverse and which average EX, while the vast majority of the cards with stains/discoloration are otherwise EX or better. It should be noted that upon further inspection of the graded cards, we spot the aforementioned blemishes on the backs of a few them, notably Howe, Beliveau, Kelly and Pulford. Toning on the backs of some of the raw cards is also to note, along with slight warping of some. We see two cards as low grade fillers; 38-Moore (F) and 46-Geoffrion (P with multiple creases). Several possibilities with this pieced-together set.
