Tops on numerous hockey card collectors’ “favorite” list is Topps’ unique 1964-65 issue, with this ensemble offered in encapsulated glory, having been recently slabbed by PSA graders. EX-MT 6 (29) and EX 5 (30) cards combine for more than half of the set, with a scorching NM-MT 8 example of Tim Horton’s short-printed #105 All-Star card the condition leader. It is joined by one other 8 (41-Hillman), with seven 8s exhibiting (OC) qualifiers; #s 4-Ferguson, 12-Hall, 15-Ullman, 17, 19, 26 and 60-Pulford, with 94-Keon at NM-MT 8 (MC). Ten NM 7s include 45-Imlach, 47-Crozier, 68-Plante and 100-Bucyk, as well as #s 3, 5, 21, 49, 65 and 87, with 46 and 85-Mahovlich including (MC) qualifiers and 28 and 78 graded NM 7 (ST). Highlighting the group of EX-MT 6s are SPs Dornhoefer, Villemure and Paille RC, 20-Hull, 40-Bower, 54-1st Series Checklist, 102-Horton and ten 2nd Series cards. EX 5 notables are 1-Martin, 89-Howe, SPs Williams, Pilote, Maki and Nesterenko, along with 16 from Series 2. A trio slabbed VG-EX+ 4.5 are 29-Sullivan, 51-Westfall and 98-Hicke SP, with 106-Mikita AS SP at VG-EX 4 and joined by ten 1st Series cards including Hall of Famers 24-Gilbert, 31-Mikita, 33-Beliveau and 48-Richard. Completing the stash are 6-Sawchuk at VG+ 3.5, a half dozen VG 3s (44-Kelly and five 2nd Series cards including 110-Hall AS) and finally a pair at GOOD 2; 55-2nd Series Checklist and 80-Rousseau SP.
