Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017

A thorn in the side of Canadians throughout many an international tournament, Mike Richter was a first-round draft choice of the New York Rangers in 1985, staying with the club for 14 seasons, which includes a Cup win in 1994. We have a pair of sticks used by the American superstar hailing from the 1990s, with both examples signed. Vic and Cooper models (Richter only used Cooper briefly), each has “Richter” stamped-on, with the name partially obscured on the Cooper model. Richter’s original tape jobs are in place on the blades and knobs, with a partially removed label over the handle of the Vic stick. Both exhibit nice use with puck marks present, along with heavy damage to the blade and paddle of the Cooper model. Richter has signed each across the blade, and the signatures display well.
