Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Canadiens great Ken Dryden won the Stanley Cup six times in a nine-year NHL career that led straight to the Hockey Hall of Fame. “Dryden” is stamped on the shaft of Ken’s Sher-Wood game-used stick from the Habs’ 1972-73 Stanley Cup season which retains his original tape job on the knob. The 1971 Conn Smythe Trophy winner placed a blue ballpoint autograph in the middle of the shaft of this solid and crack-free beauty, which had the tape job removed from the blade. The “Jul 4 1972” date stamp is the same one as on a Dryden 1972 Summit Series gamer we previously sold so this beauty may have seen duty in the iconic Canada-Russia series. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
Red goalpost paint transfer on the bottom edge of the paddle. There are pale autographs on the back of the shaft.
