Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
A swell way to show-off the sixteen stars featured in Post Cereal’s innovative and to-this-day, popular “hockey shooter” promotion of 1971-72 is this 18-1/2” by 23” framed display. A mix of red (11) and blue (5) uniforms is present, with a Bobby Orr shooter joined in the left section by those of Henderson, Hodge, Ellis, the Mahovlich brothers, (side-by-side – nice), Ratelle and Tallon, with the right side featuring the likes of Dennis Hull, Bucyk, Laperriere, Lemaire, Tremblay and Kurtenbach above goalies Giacomin and Plante. Three original little yellow pucks are present on the players, although most appear to have been glued back into place, with the sticker decals having survived in excellent condition with only light wear. The images and accompanying facsimile autographs are cool to look at while recalling one’s youth!
