Consecutive Eastern Conference champions during their time in New Jersey in 2002 and 2003, the Nets relocated to the borough of Brooklyn in the summer of 2012, currently playing at the Barclays Center. We have a nice grouping of Nets game-worn material totaling 8 items for your consideration, spanning from roughly 1989 to 1998. Included are jerseys worn by Chris Gatling in 1997-98, Armon Gilliam in 1992-93 and Jason Williams in 1995-96, followed by 2 pairs of shorts with a pair worn by Jason Williams in 1995-96. There are also Nets pants from the 1989-90 season, along with a pair of Nets jackets, including an example worn by Jim Jackson in 1996-97. COAs will accompany the Gatling, Gilliam and Williams jerseys, as well as the Williams shorts and one of the jackets.
The breakdown for each of the offered items is as follows: 1) Chris Gatling’s 1997-98 New Jersey Nets game-worn jersey. Champion size tagging resides on the lower front along with a second Champion Nets label with “Body Length +5” listed. Styled with “New Jersey” arching over the chest in textured tackle twill, the solid blue mesh has been accented with matching front and verso numbers, with a rubberized diamond pattern along each side. With no issues to note, the jersey remains in gorgeous condition. 2) Armon Gilliam’s 1992-93 New Jersey Nets game-worn jersey. Champion size tagging resides on the lower front along with a second Champion Nets label with “Body Length +2” listed. Styled with “Nets” across the chest in tri-colour tackle twill, “43” also appears on front and verso in matching material. With some puckering to the reverse numbers present, there is also some loose threading to identifiers in spots. 3) Jason Williams’ 1995-96 New Jersey Nets game-worn jersey. Champion size tagging resides on the lower front along with a second Champion Nets label with “Body Length +4” listed. Styled with “Nets” across the chest in tri-colour tackle twill, “55” also appears on front and verso in matching material. A few small marks on the lower front are present, with no other issues. 4) 1989-90 New Jersey Nets jacket. MacGregor Sand-Knit tagging is affixed to the collar, along with “89”, “2 inch LB” and “38 inch SL” patches, with “51” handwritten in 2 spots. An embroidered Nets logo sits over the left breast, with “New Jersey” arching over the back in tackle twill. The jacket remains in beautiful condition, with just some wear to the finish on the buttons. 5) Jim Jackson’s 1996-97 New Jersey Nets jacket. Champion size tagging is present including handwritten “22”, along with a “Designed and Tailored exclusively for New Jersey Nets” label. Multi-coloured with a Nets’ logo over the left breast, the jacket remains in very good condition. 6) 1989-90 New Jersey Nets warm-up pants. MacGregor Sand-Knit labeling is intact, with a “Designed and Tailored exclusively for New Jersey Nets” label. An “89” year tag is also present, with no unsightly wear or damage to the pants. 7&8) 2 pairs of New Jersey Nets game-worn shorts. One in solid blue the other white, both feature proper tagging from Champion along the waistbands, with neither pair exhibiting heavy wear or damage.
