Arguably one of the most cherished teams in all of North American sports, the Boston Red Sox are one of the American League’s 8 original charter franchises, beginning life in 1901. We have a great group of 10 Boston Red Sox game-used items, spanning from roughly 1975 to 2006. Included are Red Sox jerseys worn by Al Nipper in 1987, Ellis Burks in 1992 and Kevin Millar in 2005, followed by uniform pants worn by Don Bryant in 1975, Steve Lyons in 1986 and Jody Reed in 1989. There is also a Red Sox batting helmet, cleats worn by Carl Everett in 2001, a Red Sox jacket worn by Wendell Kim in the 1990s and socks worn by Alex Cora in 2006. COAs will accompany the Burks jersey, Kim jacket and Everett cleats, with an LOA for the socks.
The breakdown for each of the offered items is as follows. 1) Al Nipper’s 1987 Boston Red Sox game-worn road jersey. Rawlings size labeling sits on the lower front tail along with “2 inch extra length” and “Set 1 1987” tags. Styled with “Boston” arching over the chest in navy twill, with the “49” on verso repeated in matching material, there is also a small tear along the right side of the collar along with some minor spotting. 2) Ellis Burke’s 1992 Boston Red Sox game-worn home jersey. Wilson labeling sits on the lower front tail along with “42” size and “90” year tags. Styled with “Red Sox” across the chest in attractive dual-colour tackle twill, with “12” on verso in matching material, the button-up displays very minor discolouration to the collar along with a few small random marks present. 3) Kevin Millar’s 1989 Boston Red Sox game-worn home jersey. Majestic labeling sits on the lower front tail along with a size “50” tag. Styled with “Red Sox” across the chest in attractive dual-colour tackle twill, with “15” on verso in matching material, the solid red button-up remains in beautiful condition. 4) Wendell Kim’s 1990s Boston Red Sox jacket. Majestic labeling is present, with “12” handwritten along the collar. Navy blue with “Red Sox” across the chest in tackle twill, the jacket suffers from a sticky substance of some kind throughout, with the material possibly causing the adhesiveness. 5) Carl Everett’s 2001 Boston Red Sox game-worn cleats. Nike models in solid black with white accents, a “Z” is handwritten along the back of each, with Everett signing the right shoe in silver sharpie, with some smudging to the signature. 6) Boston Red Sox helmet. An ABC model with padding and manufacturers labeling intact, a Sox “B” decal has been placed on front, with an MLB decal and “18” across the back. Heavy use is exhibited, with marks and scratches present. 7-9) 3 pairs of Boston Red Sox game-worn uniform pants. Each pair has proper labeling intact, with each pair seeing recycled use. Varying degrees of use are visible, with the Reed pants exhibiting large repairs. 10) Alex Cora’s 2006 Boston Red Sox game-worn socks. Solid red with “13” handwritten on each, with nice use shown.
