Calling all Angels! This impressive lot of 12 items from California’s Anaheim-based American League team features Bob Boone, Garret Anderson and Ramon Ortiz Angels game-worn jerseys. There are three Angels game-worn batting helmets and two Angels game-used jackets, including a heavy fur-lined 1960s affair and 1996 Gold Glove first baseman J.T. Snow’s signed wool and leather Angels jacket. Four pairs of Angels game-worn pants round out this substantial and angelic collection, including Ed Yost’s 1962 Los Angeles Angels game-worn flannel road pants. COAs accompany each of two batting helmets featured here.
Bob Boone’s signed mid-1980s game-worn jersey has a black marker autograph below the red-and-navy blue double twill “Angels” on the front. Goodman & Sons size 44 tagging is sewn on the left front tail. Various light-colored stains throughout the front and back;
Garret Anderson’s 1997 Angels game-worn pinstriped home jersey has the Jackie Robinson 50th anniversary patch sewn on the right sleeve, and Rawlings tagging on the left front tail with “Set 1 1997”, “2 inch extra length”, and size “50” flag tags;
Ramon Ortiz’s 1999 Angels game-worn pinstriped road jersey has the “Gene Autry 26th Man” patch sewn on the right sleeve, and Rawlings tagging on the left front tail along with “Set 1 1997” and size “46” flag tags;
Devon White’s circa-1987-92 Angels game-used navy blue helmet with a red bill has No. “30” on the back to the left of the ABC logo. No. “30” is written in black marker on the rear padding inside the helmet, which has dried out and detached completely from its glue. The round piece of padding at the top of the inside is no longer present, but the worn padding around the crown remains in place. Game wear shows in various marks, scuffs and scratches, including a mark through the “A” team logo decal on the front. Comes with a COA;
1990s Anaheim Angels game-used navy blue helmet has a number “8” decal on the back above the ABC logo. An ABC size 7 3/8 sticker remains on the top of the inside of the helmet, which retains its original inner padding. Loads of scuffing, pine tar residue on the surface attest to its solid game wear, as does a crown of caked on dirt;
Adam Kennedy’s signed 2002 Angels game-used red helmet is autographed in bold black marker along with the annotation “6/27/02 vs. Texas” on the bill. Lots of nice game wear in the form of scuffs and marks on top, it has a No. “2” decal above the MLB logo decal on the back, and a size 7 1/8 sticker on the top of the inside, which has its original padding;
1960s California Angels game-worn jacket is a heavy, fur-lined satin size 42 affair with “Angels” in red-on-white double twill letters sewn across the top of the back. Tagging in the back of the neck is completely washed out and there is plenty of wear to the knit cuffs, each of which displays team repairs;
J.T. Snow’s signed 1996 Angels game-worn wool and leather jacket has his No. 6 handwritten in black marker on the Starter Diamond Collection tagging and size XL flag tag in the back of the neck. Snow has signed with the annotation “1996 Gold Glove” in marker on the left sleeve to the left of the California Angels patch. Comes with a COA that has a holofoil that matches the one applied to the Starter tagging in the back of the neck;
Ed Yost’s signed 1962 Los Angeles Angels game-worn road flannel road pants have his bold blue marker autograph with his “#10” on the upper left leg. “Yost” and “36 25” are embroidered in red thread on either side of the back of the inner waistband, which has Tim McAuliffe Boston tagging and a “’62” season swatch patch. The pants were recycled with “Currie #27” is written in black marker on both sides of the back of the waistband below the embroidery;
Brian Anderson’s 1995 Angels game-worn home pants have Russell Athletic size 36 tagging in the back of the inner waistband along with a “B. Anderson 15-36-28-95” patch with “56” written in black marker at the top;
Mark Gubicza’s 1997 Angels game-worn pinstriped home pants have Rawlings tagging sewn inside the rear waistband along with a “Gubicza 23 37-42 35” patch;
