Originating as the Sioux City Cornhuskers of the Western League, the Chicago White Sox were first purchased by Charles Comiskey in 1894 and moved to St Paul before arriving at their final residence in Chicago in 1900. The Sox have won 6 AL pennants along with 3 world championships, with their most recent Fall Classic victory occurring in 2005. We have a great group of game-worn Sox items totaling 14, spanning from roughly 1952 to 2001. Included, we have cleats worn and signed by Ray Durham from 2001, a team jacket worn and signed by Carlos Lee also in 2001, a bat use and signed by Robin Ventura, uniform pants worn by Phil Masi in 1952, Walt Williams in 1972, Cy Acosta in 1973, Minnie Minoso in 1979, Dan Pasqua in 1993, and Tony Phillips in 1997, along with additional pairs from 1964 and 1979. Rounding out the neat Sox lot, we have a batting helmet, stirrups from the 1970s and a Sox batting helmet bag. 1) Ray Durham’s 2001 Chicago White Sox game-worn cleats. Nike Air models in solid black, each show nice use, with Durham signing the toe section of each in silver paint pen, with “5” handwritten on the side of each. 2) Robin Ventura’s Chicago White Sox game-used bat. A Louisville signature model at 34”, “S329” sits across the barrel along with “23” handwritten on the knob. The bat exhibits a number of large cracks, with Ventura signing on the barrel in gold, and the signature displays well. 3) Carlos Lee’s Chicago White Sox jacket. Solid black with tagging from Majestic with handwritten “45”, a Sox logo appears across the left breast in tackle twill. Carlos has signed over the right chest, and the signature displays well, with no issues to the jacket itself. 4) Chicago White Sox batting helmet bag. Large and made to hold and transport 16 helmets, a Sox logo appears across both sides, with a label from MSG supplier Gerry Cosby. Heavy wear is exhibited on the bag from considerable use. 5) Chicago White Sox batting helmet. An ABC model with labels present and missing some padding, a Sox decal appears across the front, with “10” on the reverse along with an MLB logo. Heavy use is exhibited, with a large crack along with a section that has broken off. 6) Phil Masi’s 1952 Chicago White Sox game-worn pants. Grey flannel with sizing label from MacGregor along the waistband with “Set 1 1952” tag and “Masi 38” swatch. Some random staining in spots is present, with no obtrusive damage. 7-13) Remaining 7 pairs of Chicago White Sox game-worn uniform pants. Each example has proper tagging along the waistband present, with good use showing, with 3 of the pairs recycled. 8) Chicago White Sox game-worn 1970s uniform stirrups. Solid red with screened-on white socks, each shows nice use, with “48” handwritten on one. An LOA from the Sox will accompany for the batting helmet, with COAs included for the Durham cleats and the Williams pants.
