Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
World Series finalists in 2007, the Colorado Rockies franchise began life in 1993, with the Denver area no stranger to professional baseball, having supported both the Bears (1955-1984) and Zephyrs (1985-1992) previously. We have a great group of 5 game-worn Colorado Rockies jerseys, spanning a decade from the inaugural season in 1993 to 2002. Included are examples worn by Eric Wedge in 1993, Jeff Cirillo in 2000, along with an alternate jersey from the same season donned by Todd Walker, followed by examples worn by Todd Zeile in 2002 and Brian Bohanon circa-2000. LOAs from the Rockies franchise will accompany each example, except for the jersey worn by Eric Wedge in 1993.
The breakdown for each of the offered items is as follows: 1) Eric Wedge’s 1993 Colorado Rockies game-worn road jersey. A Russell label resides along the lower front tail, with a second tag along the collar. Featuring “Rockies” across the chest in textured tackle twill, the grey button-up includes an alternate crest over the left sleeve and inaugural season patch over the right. With just some staining/discolouration to the nameplate, the jersey remains in excellent condition. 2) Jeff Cirillo’s 2000 Colorado Rockies game-worn home jersey. Russell labeling resides along the lower front tail with a 2” “extra length” tag and “Cirillo-48-7”. Styled with a textured tackle twill “CR” team crest over the left breast, the white button-up also features matching dual-layer tackle twill front and verso number and name-on-nameplate. With no unsightly wear, the jersey is ideal for display. 3) Brian Bohanon’s circa-2000 Colorado Rockies game-worn road jersey. Russell labeling resides along the lower front tail with a 2” “extra length” tag and “Bohanon-52-41”. Featuring “Colorado” across the chest in tri-layer tackle twill, the grey button-up includes an alternate crest over the left sleeve. Just a few tiny stains are present on the reverse just beneath the left shoulder. 4) Todd Walker’s 2000 Colorado Rockies game-worn alternate jersey. Russell labeling resides along the lower front tail with a 2” “extra length” tag and “46”. Featuring “Colorado” across the chest in textured tackle twill, the purple button-up includes an alternate crest over the left sleeve and embroidered MLB crest across the back neckline. No issues to mention regarding condition. 5) Todd Zeile’s 2002 Colorado Rockies game-worn home jersey. Russell labeling resides along the lower front tail with “Zeile-48”. Featuring “Rockies” across the chest in textured tackle twill, the white button-up includes an alternate crest over the left sleeve and ten year anniversary patch over the right. With nice wear present including a few random marks, the jersey remains in excellent condition.
