The oldest continuous one-name, one-city franchise in the AL, the Detroit Tigers were charter members of the upstart league in 1901, playing in the Central Division since 1998. The club has won an impressive 11 pennants in that time, along with 4 World Series championships, in 1935, 1945, 1968 and 1984. We have a pair of game-worn Detroit Tigers jerseys for you collecting consideration, spanning from 1995-1999. We have an example worn by Clint Sodowsky in 1995, along with a signed home jersey donned by first baseman Tony Clark in 1999. An LOA will accompany the Clint Sodowsky jersey.
The breakdown for each of the offered items is as follows: 1) Clint Sodowsky’s 1995 Detroit Tigers game-worn jersey. Russell labeling appears on the lower front left tail with handwritten “104”, along with a date/size swatch of “95-46-57”. Styled with an impressive partially embroidered Tigers team crest over the left breast, the navy button-up has been accented with matching front and verso “46” in dual-colour tackle twill. Just a few marks are present on the lower front, along with a small stain on the “6” on verso. 2) Tony Clark’s 1999 Detroit Tigers game-worn and signed home jersey. Russell labeling appears on the lower front left tail with handwritten “95”, along with a date/set swatch of “99-17-1-39” and added length tag of “2 inch extra length”. Featuring the familiar old English “D” over the left breast in navy tackle twill with matching verso number, the white button-up also sports the “1912-1999” Tigers Stadium crest over the left sleeve. Clark has signed between the nameplate and numbers in black marker, and the signature displays well. Staining around the collar and shoulders is present, with a few other areas of light discolouration on the jersey.
