A great year for California baseball, 1958 witnessed the unfathomable, when crosstown rivals Brooklyn and New York relocated to Los Angeles and San Francisco respectively. We have a great collection of Giants game-worn items for your consideration totaling 8, spanning from 1962 to 1999. Included is a throwback uniform (signed jersey, pants and stirrups) worn by Bob Lillis in 1992, a jersey worn by Shawn Estes in 1999, and uniform pants worn by Joe Pignatano in 1962, Ron Herbal in 1968 and Rod Beck in 1995. There are also socks worn by Barry Bonds along with a pair of helmets donned by both Osvaldo Fernandez and Johnnie LeMaster. An LOA will accompany the Estes jersey along with a COA for the Lillis uniform.
The breakdown for each of the offered items is as follows: 1) Bob Lillis’ 1992 San Francisco Giants game-worn 1942 NY Giants throwback uniform. The jersey features Russell labeling along the lower front, with the “Health” patch over the left sleeve. Styled with “Giants” across the chest in felt on felt construction, with matching “5” on verso, Lillis has signed over the left breast, and the signature displays well. The uniform pants feature a Russell label, with a date/set swatch of “5-34-24-92”, along with a stamp that states “Purchased from the San Francisco Giants”. Lastly, the stirrups are solid blue with red and white accent striping. The jersey exhibits a few random marks, while the pants show some staining along the bottom of the right pant leg. 2) Shawn Estes’ 1999 San Francisco Giants game-worn home jersey. A Russell label sits on the lower front, along with a 2” extra length tag. Styled with “Giants” across the chest in dual-colour tackle twill, the solid white button-up also features the “Tell it Goodbye” crest over the left sleeve. With nice wear present, there is some light spotting over the team crest. 3) Joe Pignatano’s 1962 San Francisco Giants game-worn uniform pants. A Wilson size label is affixed to the waistband, with “Joe Pignatano 1962” chain-stitched. The pants remain free of any unsightly staining, with a team repair on the back of the left pant leg. 4) Ron Herbal’s 1968 San Francisco Giants game-worn uniform pants. A McAuliffe tag is affixed to the waistband, with “Herbal” and “34 36 29” chain-stitched. Nice use is exhibited, with a ripped crotch and a small hole over the right knee. 5) Rod Beck’s 1995 San Francisco Giants game-worn uniform pants. Russell labeling sits along the waistband, with “Beck-36-30-95”, along with “Smith” crossed out and “Cordido” handwritten. Great use is shown on the pants, with heavy wear over the right knee section along with a large team repair on the reverse. 6) Barry Bonds sweatpants and socks. Nike sweatpants with “25” handwritten along the waistband tag, and a hole over the left knee, while the socks are a miss-matched pair, with one in solid black with “25” handwritten, the other, white with black accents. 7) Osvaldo Fernandez’ San Francisco Giants game-worn helmet. An ABC model with “SF” decal, along with a “Fernandez” sticker along the reverse, a label on the underside of the brim states “1996 Osvaldo Fernandez”. Showing heavy use with marks and abrasions present, Osvaldo has signed on the left side in silver paint pen, and the signature displays extremely well. 8) Johnnie LeMaster’s San Francisco Giants game-worn helmet. An ABC model with “SF” decal, heavy use is exhibited on both the interior and exterior.
