Originally situated in Allegheny from 1881-1886, the Pittsburgh Pirates have been members of the American League since 1887, playing in the Central Division beginning in 1994. Nine pennants were garnered throughout the 20th century, with Fall Classic victories in 1909, 1925, 1960, 1971 and 1979. The franchise reached the milestone of 10,000 wins after defeating Colorado in September of 2015. We have a great group of game-worn Pirates jerseys for your consideration, with examples worn by Bobby Bonilla in 1991 (signed), Jose Lind, also in 1991 and Trey Beamon in 1996. LOAs will accompany the Bonilla and Lind jerseys.
The breakdown for each of the offered items is as follows: 1) Bobby Bonilla’s 1991 Pittsburgh Penguins game-worn home jersey. An inverted Rawlings label sits on the inside front left tail, along with a “T” swatch and “Set 2 1991” set tag. “Pirates” appears across the chest in dual-colour tackle twill with matching front and verso numbers, with an alternate crest over the left sleeve. Bonilla has signed between the front numbers in black marker, and the signature displays well, with light wear to the jersey including some spotting along the front. 2) Jose Lind’s 1991 Pittsburgh Penguins game-worn road jersey. A partially detached Rawlings label sits on the inside front left tail, along with a “T” swatch. “Pirates” appears across the chest in dual-colour tackle twill script with matching front and verso numbers, with an alternate crest over the left sleeve. Just some light dirt staining is present along the reverse, beneath the left shoulder. 3) Trey Beamon’s 1996 Pittsburgh Penguins game-worn alternate road jersey. Russell size labeling sits on the lower front left tail, with a second Russell embroidered crest over the right sleeve. Styled with “Pirates” across the chest in dual-layer tackle twill with matching front and verso numbers, there is also an alternate crest over the left sleeve. With no unsightly wear or marks, the garment remains in beautiful condition.
