Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Completely matching in style despite a decade between them, we have a pair of game-worn Minnesota Twins jerseys for your collecting consideration, with examples worn by Joe Decker in 1973 and Tim Teufel in 1984. Wilson size tagging is affixed to each collar, with a date/set swatch of “73 Set 1” affixed to the collar of the Decker jersey, along with “84 3” on the lower front of the Teufel example. “Twins” appears across the chest of both in dual-layer tackle twill with matching front and verso numbers, with alternate crests over each left sleeve. These completely original and unaltered jerseys would display perfectly together, with an LOA from the Twins organization for the Tim Teufel jersey.
Both jerseys survive in wonderful condition, with some fading to the collar and sleeve striping accents on the Teufel jersey, while the Decker example’s verso number shows use of lighter thread.
